Vido Island

The island of Vido is located opposite the city of Corfu 1200 meters from the old port and covers an area of 538 acres.

In the past, the island has been a place for juvenile detention and for rural prisons.
In the island, you will find a Serbian mausoleum where the bones of the dead Serbian soldiers who died in Corfu from 1915 to 1918 were transported.

Today the island has been transformed into a summer resort with regular ferry services from the old port to Vido. It also houses municipal children’s camps.
